When at Hotel

1. Ensure that all windows and sliding doors are protected. And always close your hangings at night.

2. Check your room’s phone to ensure it is working.

3. Use a travel entrance alarm. If someone knocks on your door, and claim to be maintenance, security, housekeeping or, do not open your door.

4. Use clean parking when available.

5. Be sure that you know two fire exit locations to escape in an emergency.

6. Use the dry-clean or bellhop service. Have a bellhop or room security ensure your room for intruders before you enter.

7. When alone, do not enter elevators with stranger if you do not feel comfortable. Wait for a new elevator.

8. Never leave treasure in your car or the trunk, always obtain them with you.

9. When parking in an underground, park as close as possible to an elevator. Park where there are several other vehicles.

10. If you lose your key, please inform the front desk immediately. Requests for a new key can require you to produce identification.

When Sightseeing

1. Ask for guidelines at a hotel/motel on how to get to those attraction you want to visit.

2. Select tour guide more carefully.

3. Stick to well-lighted main streets and public areas.

4. Do not promote that you are a tourist. Place maps and travel leaflets in the glove compartment.

5. Looking lost may make you look like an easy target for offense. If you do get lost, find an open business and ask for directions.

6. Carry with you the cash only you will need, and only in small amount.

Arriving Home

1. Remember to take safety protection on your way back and after you arrive.

2. If there is any sign of a unnatural entry into your home or room upon arrival, do not enter to home. Go directly to a neighbor, then call the police and wait for their coming.
