Adding pride to the international tourist city of Ooty is the century-old government botanical garden. The Ooty Botanical garden is home to a variety of rare plants found only in a few countries in the world. The park also has an Italian garden. Set in the Italian tradition, this garden attracts a large number of tourists. This is the history of evolution, not just for tourists; Most locals just don’t know.

    The Italian prisoners were responsible for the formation of this garden. The British government recruited Italian soldiers who fought against their forces during World War II.     Created in the year 1845, this botanical garden has over 3000 species of plants belonging to 120 families. The lawn in front of the park is set to London ‘Q’ park quality and you can feel like you’re walking on cotton with your feet on it.

It is worth mentioning that a flower exhibition is held in the month of May every year to attract tourists to this specially fed oceanographic park. Hundreds of varieties of millions of flowering plants are planted throughout the park during each flower show and colorful flowers bloom. In addition, more than 25,000 flower pots have been planted with a variety of flowering plants, often displayed in beautiful shapes on flower terraces.
